Despite a sustained campaign and tireless negotiations by unions, the laws that have gone through parliament are still not acceptable. There have been gains made, however the most important issues are still to be determined. What We Are Fighting For
Stopping the Privatisation AgendaThe Carr Government hass passed laws giving Minister Della Bosca the right to privatise the WorkCover scheme without any scrutiny by the parliament This puts control of workers compensation entitlements in the hands of the insurance industry and the government could walk away from its duty to injured workers This is a step a Labor Government should not be entertaining The Trade Union movement is calling on the Minister to repeal the law that gives him the right to walk away from your workers compensation entitlements |
